Bradbury House

Building on the relationship we had developed with Shropshire Council’s Adult Learning Disabilities Team and the Development Trust who fund the Supported Living Schemes, we were asked to tender for the construction of a Supported Living Bungalow at Bradbury House, Eskdale Road, Shrewsbury on the site we had previously demolished a two storey Office Block.

We were successful with this tender and we started the project in June 2011 and completed it in November 2011.

The bungalow provides independent living accommodation for three tenants.  The large footplate of just under 2,000 square feet provides four bedrooms, lounge, dining room, kitchen, utility room, large bathroom and shower room.  The bedrooms/bathrooms have a passenger hoist system to assist in moving tenants from their bed to the bath.

The schedule  included ‘rise and fall baths’,  automatic door openers and door closers, low surface temperature radiators, passenger hoists and specialist sanitary ware, all designed to make life comfortable for the tenants.
